Normally, this would be the time when you meet friends at a Christmas market after work, drink a cup of hot mulled wine, and indulge in the Christmas lights, cheesy Christmas music, and scents of pine trees, herbs, and Christmas foods. And no Christmas market visit is complete without a ride on traditional carousel!
However, this year it is all different. We have to recreate the Christmas market at home and drink our mulled wine in front of a computer screen to chat with friends over a video call. Unfortunately, my living room is not big enough to fit a carousel. But luckily, I took this polaroid picture of a beautiful, old-fashioned carousel in Nice, France a couple of years ago.
